VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR DriveTime PROGRAM

Posted on 30 Aug, 2018

The DriveTime Program helps recently arrived refugees (within 2 years) to attain their NSW driving licence by supporting learners to overcome the barriers they face learning to drive in Australia.

The program will help learners to pass their driver knowldge test, improve their English skills and provide driving practice with volunteer mentors. This will support learners to develop the skills necessary to pass the Driving Test.

NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards NOW OPEN!!

Posted on 04 Jun, 2018

Each year more than 2.4 million people volunteer in their local communities throughout NSW – in fact across Australia one in every three people volunteer their time. They all do so much, for so many people, without asking for anything in return. But we can give something very special back – and that’s why The Centre for Volunteering holds the NSW Volunteer of the Year Awards each year.
