INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER DAY IS WED 5 DEC 2018

Posted on 25 Nov, 2018

International Volunteer Day (IVD) is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly and is held each year on 5 December.

It is a day for volunteers and volunteer involving communities to celebrate their efforts and to showcase the difference they make in their communities.

IVD 2018 focuses on the value of volunteerism through appreciation of local volunteers, including the marginalised groups and women who make up nearly 60% of volunteers worldwide, and their impact on building resilient communities.
