We are recruiting volunteers across a range of industries and organisations, so if you have a desire to help others, would like to consider a new career, have a Centrelink Mutual Obligation and / or need help with Work Development Orders (WDOs) please contact our office on 4227 7163 to arrange an informal one-to-one interview.

In 95% of cases we will refer you to a volunteer opportunity of your choosing on the day of your appointment.


NATIONAL VOLUNTEERS WEEK 20-26 MAY 2019

Today marks the beginning of National Volunteers Week. A huge thank you to the thousands of volunteers throughout the region who willingly donate their time to make our community a better place. Volunteers freely give  many thousands of hours of their own time.

Of course a similar thank you must go to all those volunteer managers and coordinators working tirelessly behind the scenes in support of their wonderful volunteers.

VOLUNTEER EXPO, THU 23 MAY 2019

This year’s Volunteer Expo, as part of National Volunteer Week, is scheduled from 9:30am to 3:30pm on Thu 23 May at the Illawarra Leagues Club, Church St Wollongong.

The Expo gives not-for-profit organisations the opportunity to feature their services and volunteering opportunities.

PROJECT GRANT FUNDING – ClubGRANTS 2019

The ClubGRANTS Scheme is a shared State Government – Club Industry Program funded by a 2.25% gaming machine tax rebate provided by the State Government to those registered Clubs with gaming machine profits in excess of $1 million per annum.

Projects in the following categories could qualify for Category 1 funding: Community welfare and social services; community development; community health services or employment assistance activities.

The Clubs NSW website contains information about how to apply for funding. Only online applications will be accepted. To register as an applicant and submit your application online go to the above link.

Local priorities include programs for young people 8-18 years; education programs as well as children’s, aged, disability and multicultural programs.

Comic Gong is a yearly event hosted by Wollongong City Libraries, is Wollongong’s very own Pop Culture festival and is calling for volunteers!

Comic Gong is a day for people of all ages to come together to celebrate comics, graphic novels, anime, cosplay & all things pop culture.
