By registering as a team you’ll have the chance to share the experience and work together, leveraging your existing relationships and ways of working. It’s a great team-building opportunity too, and will provide a new environment for problem-solving, leadership development and teamwork.
We’d love to see groups of 10-50 people registering, building that team spirit and camaraderie among the UCI 2022 Road Bike Championships volunteer team.

To help support volunteer managers in their day-to-day operations The Centre is pleased to release a new Volunteer Management Handbook.
The handbook, funded by the Australian Government Department of Social Services under the VMA program, contains best practice resources, materials and and customisable templates aligned to the National Standards for Volunteer involvement. Check out the handbook here
The theme for this year’s National Volunteer Week is Better Together. This week is time to especially celebrate all volunteers and huge difference they make to your organisation and the community.

For those who have not attended this event in the past, the Volunteering Expo gives not-for-profit organisations the chance to feature their services and volunteering opportunities.
If you’ve never thought of volunteering in the past, drop into the Expo at Wollongong Town Hall from 9:30am on Thursday 19 May and see what you’ve been missing.

Comic Gong is returning of Saturday 14 May and Wollongong City Libraries need your help delivering the first large scale Comic Gong since 2019!
There are several volunteer roles and duties available including set-up and pack-down, helping mind our activity providers and cosplayers, and conduction surveys with attendees – be our hero and come get a piece of the action.

The Volunteering Illawarra office is currently closed however phone interviews recommence in late January 2022.

From practical help with food, housing and money, to mental health and relationships, we encourage anyone struggling to check this list and reach out for help.
